Dr. Susan Schultz Huxman, president
Dr. Susan Schultz Huxman has served for more than 25 years in higher education in a variety of administrative and academic leadership roles. She has served as Eastern Mennonite University’s ninth president since Jan. 1, 2017.
Dr. Fred Kniss, provost
Fred Kniss is an EMU alum (BA ’79) and has served as provost of EMU since July 1, 2009. Prior to that, he was Professor and Chair of Sociology at Loyola University Chicago.
Dr. Mary Jensen, associate provost
Mary Krahn Jensen has served as associate provost of EMU at Lancaster since July 1, 2015. Prior to that, she was employed for 18 years at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.
Kirk Shisler, vice president for advancement
Kirk L. Shisler, was named vice president for advancement at Eastern Mennonite University, since 2005. Shisler, a 1981 EMU alum, oversees the 30-member advancement division.
Tim Stutzman, vice president for finance
Tim Stutzman began as vice president for finance in 2019.
Dr. Scott Barge, vice president for institutional effectiveness and strategic initiatives
In 2016, Scott Barge began at EMU. His work with institutional effectiveness and strategic initiatives focuses on expanding the ways the university makes use of data to inform decision-making and providing support for various initiatives growing out of the university strategic plan.
Matt Ruth, director of admissions
Ruth was named director of admissions at EMU in 2015. He has worked in EMU admissions since 2009.
